The Latino Networks Coalition (LNC) will work together to capitalize on the strength of its partnerships to support and empower our Latino community. The coalition works passionately to innovate ideas that will benefit our community by helping Latinos and Hispanics remain professionally competitive in the labor market. We will enhance our creativity with research, knowledge and talent to combine innovative ideas while leveraging resources to create new and effective solutions and programs that give us a competitive advantage.

ARTS & EDUCATION

imageBALLET HISPANICO:  From its grassroots origins as a dance school and community-based performing arts troupe, Ballet Hispanico has grown into a world-class institution. Recognized for her achievements by the National Medal of Arts, the nation’s highest cultural honor, Tina Ramirez founded Ballet Hispanico in 1970. In August 2009, Ballet Hispanico welcomed Eduardo Vilaro as its Artistic Director. Vilaro’s background in dance education and community outreach allows him to build on the company’s founding values and lead Ballet Hispanico into an artistically vibrant future.

imageHACR: Founded in 1986, the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) is one of the most influential advocacy organizations in the nation representing 14 national Hispanic organizations in the United States and Puerto Rico. Our mission is to advance the inclusion of Hispanics in Corporate America at a level commensurate with our economic contributions. To that end, HACR focuses on four areas of corporate social responsibility and market reciprocity: Employment, Procurement, Philanthropy, and Governance.

 IMG_2833 HISPA:  Hispanics Inspiring Students’ Performance and Achievement (HISPA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that mobilizes Hispanic professionals to eradicate one key reason why our youth does not pursue education: a lack of role models. Via the HISPA Role Model Program, Youth Conferences, and Corporate Visits, our volunteers emphasize the importance of academics and demonstrate that all students can overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams.

image HPNG:  The Hispanic Professionals Networking Group provides opportunities for Hispanic professionals to grow their networks and develop their careers. HPNG hosts networking events and offers professional and personal development workshops that address Latino-specific issues. HPNG workshops include career and leadership development, financial planning and investing, real estate matters, legal matters, networking and other topics. As an event production company, HPNG also creates custom business events for clients with their own branding.

PROSPANICA:
 Prospanica (formerly NSHMBA) commenced in 1988 with a vision to be the premier Hispanic business organization for Hispanic business professionals. Dedicated to increasing the number of Hispanics graduating with MBA’s, Prospanica opens doors for Hispanic talent by sourcing leadership positions, securing job placement and enhancing professional development. Though Hispanics with MBAs had been the sole focus, 2015 marks the year in which Prospanica extends its reach beyond the MBA community to undergraduate and high school-level students.

image SHPE:  The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) was founded in Los Angeles, California, in 1974 by a group of engineers employed by the city of Los Angeles. Their objective was to form a national organization of professional engineers to serve as role models in the Hispanic community. The concept of Networking was the key basis for the organization. SHPE quickly established two student chapters to begin the network that would grow to encompass the nation as well as reach countries outside the United States. Today, SHPE enjoys a strong but independent network of professional and student chapters throughout the nation. SHPE changes lives by empowering the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support and development.
